Production Engineer

About the Role

This role will be liaising both with our product development team and Chinese manufactures. Helping champion our manufacturing continuous improvement programme and accelerating new product entry into market. 

You will thrive on getting the details right, using systems and processes and your engineering skills to ensure our world beating product is manufactured to our quality standards on time.

About You 

You will have knowledge of mechanical manufacturing techniques used in mass manufacture (plastics, forging, extrusions, composites) as well as basic mechtronics.

You will be willing and able to travel and capable of flexible working hours required to support asian manufacturers.

Having a strong affinity for cycling and water sports as personal interests will also be very helpful in the role.

Senior Mechanical Product Development Engineer

  • Conduct first principles analysis to verify designs prior to testing
  • Work with suppliers through the design for manufacture and validation process to bring design concepts into commercially viable products
  • Support Production activities with engineering expertise

About You

You will be degree qualified with a minimum 8 years’ experience in relevant roles with a strong demonstrable history of new product development experience.  You will be able to design, develop and modify products for mass production and commercial success within agreed budgets of time, cost, and quality.

Ideally you will have experience with any of the following:

  •  marine design
  •  plastics
  •  composites

You will be confident with common workshop equipment to build and test prototypes.  Ideally you will have experience with marine design or design with plastics and composites.

Embedded Firmware Developer

About The Role:

Develop embedded software systems for electronic hardware and test equipment.

  • Work closely with the Electronic and Software Lead, Product Management, and the wider Product Development team.
  • Implement embedded control firmware using C and C#.
  • Follow product development standards and processes.
  • Continuously look at ways to improve the way products are controlled and how embedded systems are integrated.
  • Assist with documentation and product testing.
  • Provided technical programming expertise as required to other departments.

About You:

  • Experience embedded software / firmware in a commercial, volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience of development of C/C# for embedded systems, preferably with 8051 microcontrollers or similar.
  • Experience developing products for compliance with safety standards.
  • Experience developing PC software for internal (testing / data analysis) purposes.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining tests for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of control systems design and implementation.
  • Knowledge of electronic and electrical controls.
  • Understanding of a range of communication systems and protocols including CAN, serial, RF technologies.
